About Us...
Scented Acres opened in April of 2004. I had fallen in love with lavender a few years ago
after a visit to Grandpa's Lavender Patch, a lavender farm in Sequim, Washington. Sequim
is considered the lavender capital of North America. I cleaned out the old chicken coop,
my husband built tables for the plants and I wore out my charge card. But I was in the lavender
business.
History...
That first year my field consisted of one row of lavender, 20 rows of corn planted by my
step-son, and about 15 varieties of lavender in pots. Today my field has over 700 lavender
plants, with plans to add more.
Today...
We have over 25 varieties of potted lavender, various sages, mints rosemary, scented geraniums
and other herbs. The old chicken coop has been turned into a cozy, rustic, little gift shop.
In addition to lavender bundles, we make our own lotions, creams, oils and bath products.
During the Year...
For your culinary needs we have lavender sugar, herbs and teas. And what would a
lavender gift shop be without lavender wands, sachets, pillows and other hand made craft
items.
This is a wonderful family farm. My husband enjoys growing Clark Counties best corn;
ready to harvest and eat towards the end of August.
In October we've got pumpkins galore. We also take pride in our gourds. Beautiful
swan gourds, long-neck dipper gourds, luffa, bushel, and crown-of-thorn gourds.
We have special events and classes throughout the year. So check back often and see
what's going on at Scented Acres.
